Lewis Hay, III

Mr. Hay is the chairman and chief executive officer of FPL Group, having relinquished the title of president in December 2006.  He became a director, president and chief executive officer of FPL Group in June 2001, and chairman of FPL Group and chairman and chief executive officer of Florida Power & Light Company in January 2002.  He joined FPL Group in 1999 as vice president, finance and chief financial officer.  From March 2000 until December 2001 he served as president of FPL Group's competitive energy subsidiary, FPL Energy, LLC.  He is a director of Capital One Financial Corporation and Harris Corporation, as well as FPL Group's subsidiary, Florida Power & Light Company.
